It's made of solid and engineered with a natural wood brown top and a base in a white distressed finish for a vintage look. It measures 68'' wide and has a shorter depth of 19'' so it doesn't intrude too far into the floor space. We love the French country details like the wood scoring and contrasting darker metal hardware. Best of all, this buffet features two hideaway drawers and two cabinets with adjustable shelves. Delivery was very fast and placement went smoothly upon arrival. I paid the extra $119 for Full Service Delivery and Assembly, as I would have been unable to uncrate and place the piece in my dining room myself; however, I think it was a waste of money after reading other reviews where the delivery people uncrated and placed the sideboard where the customer wanted simply on a standard delivery. I was concerned about how the shelves adjusted and that one door doesn't quite fit flush with the other one; however, the delivery persons were oblivious to my questions. I realize now I should have insisted they adjust the shelves as a part of the Assembly process I had paid for, but I didn't and now I will have to hire someone to do it. It is a beautiful piece and the oak top and distressed finish is very attractive; however, the name Antique White is a little misleading as the color is more Antique Cream or Ivory than it is white. Overall, the quality of the sideboard is very good and it was still an economical purchase with it being hundreds of dollars on sale, getting 10% off for being a first time Wayfair buyer, and having it delivered 7 days after ordering.
